Hey, I'm looking for a relatively cheap, non-working Nintendo DS. Preferably a "Lite" or "i" or even "XL" would be great.
I don't need it to have working screens and I don't need it to turn on. I just need the hinge to be functional and the buttons to be in decent shape.
Thanks!

Re: GBC Buttons all stopped working...
Anyone have any more ideas? (Over a year later, I know... Hahaha)
Still can't wrap my head around this. I can even directly bridge the contacts for the buttons and the Gameboy won't respond at all...

Re: Plugging in Two Mice
The trackball has a USB cable, as well as PS/2, but last time I tried it, it the computer didn't recognize it... I tried it yesterday and it works perfectly! Strange. But now I have a trackball and a spinner in my arcade control board and I couldn't be happier.
Thanks for the tips anyway!

Plugging in Two Mice
Hey all, long time no post, but I have a question I'm sure someone here could help me out with. I'm building a MAME cabinet and I have a trackball and a DIY Spinner I'd like to install. Both are PS/2 mice. Can I somehow plug both in together? I know you can have two USB mice at once, but I've never ...

Re: how to Disconnect DS top screen and still work??
Do you think it would be the same method for both the DS and the DS lite?

Breath Pressure Sensor
I'm thinking about building a MIDI instrument, probably using an Arduino because I know that you can do MIDI things with an Arduino. I'd like the instrument to be breath powered, that is, the velocity of the note is relative to the pressure of the breath. It would be like an Akai Ewi, and work simil...

Re: Remote Control Cars/trucks etc!
I REALLY want to get back into RC. I started out with those cheap Radio Shack cars, and probably some other toys but then I got a Tamiya Super Hornet Kit. That was a great kit. Lot's of fun to put together and drive. I didn't realize it at the time, but the thing was old. It had an analogue speed co...

Re: MAME Rebuild Log
So, a tip for anyone building a control panel like mine: Don't get the artwork printed on glossy. You know those toy drawing pads that have the plastic sheet that you lift up to erase it? That's sort of what happens. The plexiglass and the glossy paper make some funky indents when you lean on it. So...

Re: Suggestions for a Original Xbox remote
Well if it has the little receiver, you could mod it to be USB and have a nice USB remote. The Xbox connection is just USB, but in a different shape. If you solder on a USB connection, your computer should be able to recognize it with a driver or something. It was really easy to make the original Xb...

Re: WTB: Starfox Hat
Does it need to be an official starfox hat? I'm sure you could custom order a hat from websites like Zazzle or Sonicshack. I could help you design the emblem if you'd like. EDIT: Are you looking for this? http://farm1.static.flickr.com/82/233140548_4012305b4f.jpg Zazzle makes custom embroidered hats...

Remember the Original DS's site?
Hey guys, remember the site that Nintendo put up before the original DS came out? I'm trying to find a way to see it, I really liked how it looked and I'm trying to remember what the music was, because I remember it being interactive with whatever page you were on. The WayBackMachine doesn't work fo...

MAME Rebuild Log
Hey all, I'm working on a little project and thought this would be as good a place as any to share my progress. Long story short, my uncle built me a MAME arcade cabinet for me when I was 13. I was pretty young back then and didn't really understand "building" things. I'm older and wiser, and would ...

Why is printing so expensive?
This might come off as a rant, but I'm actually looking for an explanation. I'm working on my MAME arcade machine, trying to make it look and run as good as possible before I hopefully move it into my apartment next year. I'm about to get the control panel artwork printed. It's a 25 by 15 inch panel...
