dreamcast gd-rom revisions/ compatibilities?
I'm trying to figure out the differences between all of the compatibilities (hardware and software) of the different dreamcast system revisions. But I cannot for the life of me find any one concentrated source of data, or data with a reliable source. I know revisions 0 and 1 have a separate GD-Rom c...

Re: Wiring batteries in Series and Parallel
Do the batteries have to be in series/parallel in even amounts? Like say I have six batteries (assuming they are all the same), four are in a series of two each (two pairs of two) and the remaining two are in parallel with the dual pairs? Or would this ruin the batteries when being charged together?

Re: nes/snes retro duo! pics, review, hacking info 7/27/10
Which direction does the capacitor face on the controller board? I can tell how the one on the power switch is located from the pictures but I can't make out the controller board capacitor from the pics. (not close enough) I'm sure I fried mine from soldering it in the wrong way... Edit: I'm dumb, ...

Re: casio tv hack
I have the exact one, also bought for real cheap from goodwill. I've done some research on the web concerning the chips but so far any experimenting besides wiring an rf adapter to the external antenna adapter hasn't worked. And to be honest using the RF adapter is bulky (like the pcb for this tv is...

Re: GOAC and NOAC shared controls
Sweetness, I'm guessing place the diodes on the VCC line. Also I have a battery question. I'm using 6 C-cell Ni-Mh batteries in my portable in a series, for a total of 7.2 volts at 3000mAh. I know how to wire them up, kinda. I want to use the retro-duo switch so I can switch between consoles, middle...

ni-mh battery series charging
New question on last post. I want to make a portable with a GOAC (radica) and NOAC (Mega/Super Joy 3) in the same system. But I want to have a single D-pad and 3 button layout (not counting start/select) How would I wire it so that the controls don't conflict with the other system? Or tell me if I'm...

Huh, mine didn't have that capacitor attached to the power switch... But I don't have the game to test the compatibility either...

1/8 watt resistors for 2xnes to snes controller mod
I'm following this guide http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2 ... 807,00.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to build the controller, but accidentally got 1/8 watt resistors. Is this still fine? The whole system is running on a regulated 5 volts.

Re: The perfect amplifier/speakers to go with your small screen.
Ok... I'm not sure how I did what I did, but in the process of messing up the traces for the power button, then following the through hole to the other side with a wire, scraping some traces clean, and putting on a messy bit of solder next to that resistor, the thing stays on.... once I figure out h...

Re: The perfect amplifier/speakers to go with your small screen.
I'm making an snes portable with one of them. I'm using a DPDT switch instead of a tact switch, but I'm positive it's the same principal. I just wasn't sure how it would interact with the voltage running through the switch. (7.4 V)

Black American 64 NUS-CPU-04 NS17011204 And another. Black NUS-CPU-09 NS297648602 The heatsinks were handled differently for each version. The first had a dedicated heatsink on each chip that was then screwed to the large metal piece. The latter had only one heatsink for the chip closest to the cont...

Re: Gamer255's Trade/FS Thread
I have an original Gameboy, but no power cable, if that's a problem. Still has the battery cover though.
Maybe trade for two or three of the NES 72 pin connectors?
