Thankyou, thats great news. Really can't wait to see them all.bacteria wrote:Looks good so far. Sure, enter it in the compo if you wish, and if it is finished in time. Why not.
Not entirely sure about the L & R buttons just yet. I usually just make stuff up as I go along. As for the wire, its basically just wrapping wire for coils. I would imagine Radioshack would sell it, im from the UK.Basement_Modder wrote:HOW do you plan on keeping the L/R buttons in their existing "pressure sensitive" state?Confused I just hacked off the little slider switch and used the "pushed all-the-way in" circut.
Also, how did you manage to soldier the tiny traces on the ribbon cable??? If I tried, I'd most likely burn it up or use too much solder.
Lastly, can you get that copper wire stuff with the "Shockedinvisible insulationShocked" at a place like Radio Shack or just online or something?
Couple more pics. Needs a really good polish and still to put the buttons etc in the top.
Also, blew up the regulator board yesterday so had to order some regulators to build a new one. Its so hard trying to locate these in the UK, especially when the guys in Maplin dont know a resistor from a battery. I wish we had Radioshack here.
Its now perspex and aluminium.
