Thankyou, thats great news. Really can't wait to see them all.
Basement_Modder wrote:HOW do you plan on keeping the L/R buttons in their existing "pressure sensitive" state?Confused I just hacked off the little slider switch and used the "pushed all-the-way in" circut.

Also, how did you manage to soldier the tiny traces on the ribbon cable??? If I tried, I'd most likely burn it up or use too much solder.

Lastly, can you get that copper wire stuff with the "Shockedinvisible insulationShocked" at a place like Radio Shack or just online or something?
Not entirely sure about the L & R buttons just yet. I usually just make stuff up as I go along. As for the wire, its basically just wrapping wire for coils. I would imagine Radioshack would sell it, im from the UK.

Couple more pics. Needs a really good polish and still to put the buttons etc in the top.

Also, blew up the regulator board yesterday so had to order some regulators to build a new one. Its so hard trying to locate these in the UK, especially when the guys in Maplin dont know a resistor from a battery. I wish we had Radioshack here.

Yeah, well, Radio Shack's pretty overrated. In the 15 years we've had this one in my hometown, I've only ever met one employee who knew anything at all.

I really like that aluminum. It breaks up all that black quite nicely. Did you just do that with a Dremel? It looks perfect!

Weren't you paying attention? He's not including one :P Now go back up the thread and see if I'm telling the truth or not.

I want that case so bad it hurts. It's beautiful! And the fact that it's made with aluminum and cut and bent so perfectly makes it that much more awesome.

Just wondering what gauge copper enamel wire you are using? (for you ribbon cable repairs etc)
.25mm, .5mm, 1mm?

Yeah it was all done with a dremel. I really wish i had a cnc or vac form machine though. Think I might try and make one after this.

@dragonball345, I dont own any vac form plastic at all mate.

@mchammer, I think it was around 30-35awg if I remember correctly. Its as thin as a strand of hair but doesn't really matter how thick it is as long as your comfortable soldering it.

Thankyou all for the comments.
